The 2019 pilgrimage cost of £750 doesn’t come close to covering the actual cost of the trip.  Costs have risen significantly over the last few years, and are likely to continue to rise.

We need to raise as much as possible to combat this. So far this year, we have held several successful events, including a Race Night in August which raised £1,100 and a sponsored walk in November which raised nearly £1,200.

Lucie Kelly organised a a Carol Service in December, hosted by Ss Peter and Paul’s, Dundee, which raised £550.

The nurses fundraise separately – a successful fundraiser organised by Martin and Elaine Macgregor, with a variety of brilliant performances, including from Yellow T-Shirt Paul Sullivan, raised £900 in March. The following night, Kaitlyn Bell organised an entertaining race night, raising £859.20 for her trip.

If you’d like to host a fundraiser for the pilgrimage, get in touch with us – we’d be delighted to hear from you. If you’d like to make a donation to the fund, please contact us at

Ciara Barker has organised a Band Night in Tillicoultry on 24 May – full details are on Facebook.

Kirsten Friedman is organising a fundraising ceilidh for her first trip to Lourdes on 25 May in Ss Peter and Paul’s Church Hall, Dundee.  For more details, see the Facebook event.
